The Role
CNN International’s Content Sales & Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for creating content opportunities and managing ongoing business operations for CNN’s properties outside of the United States. The team provides news and programming content and services to broadcasters, publishers and other organisations across the world.
As an apprentice, you will research client and consumer needs and identify how CNN’s news products and services can meet them. You will help develop relationships with internal teams and clients, identify new content sales opportunities and support the achievement of business objectives through planning, analysis and commercial activity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the EMEA team to prepare market reports, presentations and administrative documentation.
- Monitoring CNN International programming and maintaining content presentations and schedules.
- Gathering market intelligence and preparing affiliate usage reports and team briefings.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the team through a range of administrative and commercial activities.
- Collaborating with departments including News, Finance, Legal and international offices.
- Attending meetings with prospective and existing partners and clients.
- Promoting new CNN products and services to clients.
- Assisting in identifying new business opportunities and commercial prospects.
Training and Development
You will complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship while gaining practical experience on business-critical projects. The programme runs from September/October 2026 until March 2028.
Alongside structured learning, you will have access to personal and professional development opportunities, executive speaker sessions, special screenings and a wide range of learning resources. You will also become part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Early Talent network, providing support, networking and social opportunities with fellow apprentices, interns and graduates.

Requirements
- Applicants must not already hold a university degree, as this apprenticeship is intended as an alternative pathway to higher education.
- Strong computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- An interest in current affairs, news programming, television, digital media and market research.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities and workload effectively.
