Few feelings hit harder than opening a rejection email after putting real effort into an application. When rejection keeps happening, motivation drops, and self-doubt grows. But the truth is simple. On average, only about 3% of graduate applications lead to a job offer, and many candidates are filtered out before the interview stage. Once you understand this, rejection stops feeling personal and starts looking statistical.
